Dax play extra time with Spigaou

With the Spigaou, a typically Marseille brand, the famous Dax Honda of the 70s and 80s should be able to continue its long career: more practical than a scooter thanks to its maneuverability and small footprint, it can aim for a big success. !

The famous Honda Dax from the 70s and 80s was born again with the Spigaou, a Marseille brand. Why "Spigaou"? "It is the name of a Provençal herb which lodges in the ears of dogs", explains Frederic Pesseguier, logistics director of Spigaou, on his JPMS stand:"all Provencals know what it is !"

After production of the Dax ceased in 1999 due to its low sales volume, the famous little Honda had already been taken over by the Chinese manufacturer Jincheng ("producer in particular of Aprilia Scarabeo", specifies Frederic) under the name Skyteam, with a manual gearbox.

Spigaou Motors today claims a "better build quality, a semi-automatic gearbox identical to that of the original Dax, "fashion" colors and many options such as aluminum rims, improved upholstery and chrome counter ring for around 200 euros extra", assures the manager.

"The Spigaou is not another chinoiserie marketed on the internet", continues the logistics director:"it is only sold in stores at a dozen resellers in the Marseille region", priced at 1490 euros for the 125 cc and 1190 euros for the 50 cc. .

About thirty machines have already been sold since the creation of Spigaou at the end of 2007: a new promising impetus for this sympathetic and legendary little machine? To be continued !
