Present since the creation of the JPMS, the Journal moto du net has seen it big this year with our famous Site / 2RTeam truck, already present on the 2008 Dark Dog Tour! A talented preparer, logistician and mechanic, Raphaël Bonifay () once again put his skills at our service: stand set-up, food and logistics are thus carried out expertly, all in a good mood! The opportunity to (re) discover its impressive studded tires and its Explorer, this "snowmobile" kit allowing you to switch from an enduro to a snow scooter (see our). Present on the WERC (Week-end racing cup), the French rally championship and the IRC (International rally championship), in 2009 the 2RTeam offers its à la carte services to all pilots wishing to start their season with serious supervision: do not hesitate !

For three days, the JPMS brings together the main two-wheeler players in a 22,000 m2 space where nearly 8,000 visitors circulate. Specificity of this major event: only professionals are invited to survey this vast exhibition bringing together more than 200 exhibitors, 600 brands and nearly 116 European journalists !

Faithful to the post, Site sent its shock team (see box opposite) to cover this major event in the professional world of motorcycles in France, eagerly awaited by most market players to assess the real consequences on the ground. of the economic crisis raging since the last quarter of 2008 …

However, if some barometers do not lend themselves to smile, such as the confirmation in January of the drop in sales of motorcycles in France (read), the general atmosphere of these JPMS 2009 is nevertheless positive and turned towards a future that we hope more radiant.

2009 product election results

Eagerly awaited by the whole profession, the presentation of the JPMS Trophies 2009 by a jury made up of four journalists – Jean Savary d ‘Auto Moto Action (Hachette Filippachi, Lagardère group), Didier Ganneau from The Cycle Official (Motor Presse group), Valerie Moreno from Motorcycle Journal (Motor Presse group) and Serge Martin from France Inter and France Info (Radio France) – and Stephane Clair, organizer of JPMS, dedicated eleven products selected by categories elected by 622 professionals via the Internet (read).

In addition, the jury awarded two special prizes among the winners of each category: the "Grand Prix du Jury 2009" and the "Prix Coup de Coeur 2009". It is also an opportunity to take stock of the latest news from equipment manufacturers, and to remind manufacturers that they should not hesitate to present their products to the JPMS jury, always fond of innovations..

GREEN PRODUCTS CATEGORY
Rewarded for the efforts made by the R&D department of the French manufacturer Devil, the replacement silencer with integrated and removable Master catalyst wins the Green Products trophy. Approved while offering "optimized performance, weight savings, modern design and the famous Devil sound, Specifies the manufacturer, this silencer at 437 € is particularly suitable for sports (read).

CATEGORY OF INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS AND JURY’S FAVORITE
Second French brand put forward by the jury (which will give it its "Coup de cœur"): Beringer and its brake caliper with RoadLok lock, elected innovative product of the year! WOMEN’S SPECIAL PRODUCT CATEGORY
More and more taken into account by the various manufacturers, bikers now benefit from entire ranges which are reserved for them. The opportunity to salute the STT (Holding Trophy group) equipment supplier for its Gaïa urban jacket which combines CE protection, satisfactory equipment for daily use and a fitted cut. Available in black only, this elegant jacket is displayed at the reasonable price of 199 €.

JUNIOR CATEGORY AND GRAND PRIX DU JURY
Our dear darlings have not been forgotten in 2009: the jury thus awarded the "Juniors" prize to the C1 Disco Kid / Techno evolutive child helmet, whose interior (removable and washable) can go from size 48 to 52. SPECIAL MENTION OF THE NON-CATEGORY JURY
The organizer and the jury admit it bluntly: if a few questions remained on paper about the new Superskin technology applied to Belgian Lazer helmets, more explanations and especially a revealing video quickly demonstrated all the good- based on the process! True innovation – even revolution – in the field of helmets, this technology is based on a specific anti-rotation synthetic membrane developed in collaboration with Dr. Ken Phillips and engineer Bruno Vaes.

Real second skin (the principle is inspired by the epidermis layer protecting the human body) attached to the helmet shell and resting on a gel mattress, this flexible layer would reduce up to 67.5% of brain damage in the event of of choc !
