Mature Arsouilleuse

Kawasaki Z 750 SThe
Kawasaki Z 750 S is the streamlined version of the roadster
Z750 appeared in 2004, which since trustees the sales of roadsters in France.
With a protective screen, a long saddle, passenger handles,
the Z 750 S looks aesthetically as a long-distance roadster.
And at 300 euros more than her elder, she can seduce
those who also want to ride for a long time.

From a distance, the Z 750 S seems to be the cousin of the Z 750 and not its
sister. The double saddle has been replaced by a long
saddle in one piece, the nose screen has made way for a bubble
almost original high, the speedometer has been replaced
by a real dashboard, the rear light has been
borrowed from the ZX-10R … and the hugger is gone.

Beyond the aesthetic aspect, the geometry
front axle has been modified to strengthen the
stability. And for the more informed, injection mapping
has been revised, in particular taking into account the difference
position of the air box and fairing, all still offering
more flexibility at low revs.

We notice the BT019 at the front and the BT 012 at the rear.

In the saddle

The position is immediately natural, almost straight, especially by
compared to the naked. Both feet touch the ground for the pilot
of 1.70 m, despite a saddle higher than the Bandit.

Commodos are standard.

The dashboard highlights a tachometer with a red zone at
11,500 revolutions and a fuel gauge, a speedometer including
a partial double-trip (single trip for the Z750), the totalizer and
the clock. We immediately notice the system
coded key.

Rectangular mirrors placed on the fairing
are easily adjusted but are still too close to the bubble.
Their vision could therefore be improved
less to bring the elbows to the bust to see well.

Contact

Ah, did I really put the ignition on? To the low and hoarse sound of Z
750, the Z750S prefers discretion. The counter
resets, while the tachometer makes a round trip
to the red zone.

Clutch, start … The gearbox appears soft. Without any brutality,
it rolls up on a gas net. Passage in second smoothly, without
no surprise. The Z750, light when stationary,
is handled with two fingers. The bubble fairing does not add any heaviness
at the management level, despite their 4 kilos. Knees find
their place around the tank without stopping or
roughness.

Even at very slow speed, the motorcycle almost tilts
of itself, in perfect balance, to give an impression
idle.

The box is very precise and pleasant,
without false dead point.

City

Kawasaki Z 750 SIn
city, the key word of the Z750S seems to be flexibility.
She picks up on any report, without complaining, even at
1500 rpm! It is easy to turn the handle to accelerate
with a bang and stop firmly or quietly, even
if it encourages less play than the Z750 with a more flexible go-around.
Between cars, she goes everywhere without any effort.

In extra-urban areas, it takes off quietly depending on
the ratio and the angle of the handle, without planing, nor
surprise. Rather quiet under 3000 rpm, it starts
to be very nice at 4,000 rpm, and relax
above 7,000 rpm. And yet, she is practically
available and flexible even at 4,000 rpm, never requiring
to change gear to have recovery, in cool driving.

Highway

Kawasaki Z 750 SThe
Z750 S enters the motorway like a long-distance runner. The needle
tachometer climbs slowly but is still only at 6,000
rpm at 140 km / h, without particular pressure on the chest
and in almost silence. And yet, a simple request from the
right grip, and the Z shifts vigorously in the sprint, smoothly.
On the circuit, the Z is still only 9000 rpm when passing the 200
km / h, still leaving room to the red zone.

The Z750’s mini windshield already provided good.
The screen of the Z 750 S is perfect and protects from the wind up to
largely illegal speeds. The pressure is noticeably felt
on the top of the bust for the pilot of 1.70 m, but allows despite
everything to maintain a speed of 200 km / h without difficulty.

It remains a rail. Its bubble makes it particularly suitable for
long motorway routes.

Departmental

Kawasaki Z 750 SThis is
on departmental roads, that the road regains its origins
roadsters, allowing you to play with the selector and
with pleasure. Virolos then become a playground where
it reveals a new nature.

The original BT 012s hang perfectly and put
in trust. Suddenly, she turns the biker into a pilot.

Night road

The double frontal optics illuminate well, very well. In
full headlights position, the road is illuminated, allowing
well above authorized speeds.

Comfort

Kawasaki Z 750 SThe
saddle is a real surprise. Used to comfort
sporty if not spartan at Kawasaki, the Z 750 S has made enormous
effort to provide a long saddle that is comfortable compared to the
standard production of roadsters. Without reaching the comfort of a trail
DL 650 type, it is possible to travel several hundred kilometers
solo and duo, without suffering.

For the passenger, the handles are revealed
pleasant. The slightly raised position
also allows the passenger to admire the road, above the pilot.

Kawasaki Z 750 SBraking

Braking is very progressive, both at the rear
than before. You have to crush the back pedal
to trigger a blockage and in the front it is biting, but
without surprise.

Convenient

Kawasaki Z 750 SStill
once the Z 750 S made great efforts compared to the Z
750. It is now possible to place an anti-theft device under the saddle
and there is still room for rain pants.

It is also possible to insert the anti-theft device between
brake disc and one of the front wheel sticks.

The metal tank allows you to hang a magnetic bag
no problem.

The hooks under the saddle, allow you to secure your belongings.

We regret the absence of a central stand, especially on a model
for road use.

Kawasaki Z 750 SConsumption

The Z 750 S goes into reserve at 240 km in mixed driving
a little muscular, allowing a maximum autonomy of 300
km, like the Z 750. Switching to automatic reserve is signaled
by a flashing pump on the dashboard.

Conclusion

Kawasaki Z 750 SThe
Z 750 S is the successful evolution of the Z 750. It will satisfy
those who also want to ride far and not just want to
have fun on the departmental roads.

Rather comfortable, flexible, it turns out to be easy
of grip. It joins the ease of 650 cm3 trails by
its versatility, but with the flattering look in addition. Kawasaki Z 750 S

More torquey and powerful than the 600, versatile, it attacks on
all fronts. What to consolidate its position at the top of sales
for 2005.

To consume without moderation, in red, blue or black, the latter
color seems to be the emerging trend…
