But you don’t want to ride like everyone else, on the eternal Fat boy, Electra Glide, Shadow or Dragstar … With the Drifter, assert your difference. Arrived on the market at the same time as the 1500, this custom model is directly inspired by the models of the American brand Indian. With its huge, very enveloping mudguards, this machine stands out from the current production. We salute the efforts of the designers and engineers, who have refined the rear end of the traditional side shock absorbers. In fact, these are stashed under the engine. We also appreciate that the bike is available in nice red or beige colors. For such a tight price and an engine cubing less than a liter, one could fear that the engine would turn pale in the face of the big 1500 Drifter. Nay! It is a very happy surprise to note that the small twin, which comes out only 7 hp less, shows flexibility, joie de vivre, and performance. The big 1500 would almost take a dim view. The very pleasant saddle and the remarkable work of the rear damping make the Drifter very comfortable for a machine of this category. Too bad that the ground clearance shows its limits too quickly and that the single front brake disc is sometimes limited. The 1500 has for her the prestige of the displacement but in use, the choice may be harder than expected, and not necessarily for the one we think…
