This is Putin’s state bike
Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to fill his state fleet with national products. After a state limousine for himself, there is now a new motorcycle for his escort.

It has long been an open secret that Russia is working on its own new motorcycles for use in civil service. So far, the Russian state fleet has relied on models from BMW and Ural. Now there is initial information on the still nameless motorcycles that will be running under the label Kortehz (Cortege, means escort of honor). The motorcycles are to be built by the Rostec state company and, like the state limousines, will later also be offered to private buyers. Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov expects production to start at the end of 2018 / beginning of 2019.
It wasn’t until May 2018 that the public became aware of the new Cortege state limousine presented by Putin.

500 kg heavy, 250 km / h fast
The first key data for the Kortehz motorcycles make you sit up and take notice. The weight should be around 500 kilograms, a few hundredweight of which should be due to the extensive armor. In terms of driving performance, 3.5 seconds are given for the sprint from zero to 100 km / h. The maximum speed should be 250 km / h. Around 150 hp should be enough for this. And of course the new Russian bikes should clearly put the competitors in their place. Further key data or information was not published.
However, there is a video of the corresponding concept bike that allows one or the other to draw conclusions. The overall design is reminiscent of classic excavator bikes with a small fairing, sloping rear line and integrated side cases. The front and rear wheels are almost fully covered. However, a cross-spoke wheel with a double disc brake system flashes out from under the front fender. The distinctive side humps in the front fairing indicate a boxer engine. You can also see a storage compartment in front of the driver and a large display in the cockpit. The two rear silencers open deep under the suitcases.
