KTM 350 FREERIDE 2012

Menus

A specialist in cross-country and enduro machines, KTM can pride itself on offering a range … or rather a real fleet of off-road machines. From the 50 SX to 500 EXC six days, more than 20 models are aimed at connoisseurs.
But by dint of developing motorcycles that are more and more efficient, and more and more expensive, Katoche has unwittingly reserved its models for informed, trained pilots; in short, ready to race.

And the amateur? It is precisely for him that the mark of Mattighöffen now offers the 350 Freeride. A more open-minded enduro model, aimed at a wider audience than the specialists targeted by the EXCs. Accusing the featherweight of 99.5 kg at weigh-in, provided with a new steel frame, the Freeride is powered by the 350 EXC-F mono, deflated to 24 horsepower. A fairly poor performance, and very surprising for a Katoche. Kawasaki pulls out as many nags with its 250 KLX, just like Honda with its CRF 250 L. With long travel suspensions and announced as much less physical than the EXCs, this 350 Freeride makes the eyes of fans of crossing. the price remains high for a machine supposed to be more accessible.
