Numerous improvements for the Crosser

KTM has given its cross models a little facelift. There are technical innovations, a new look and more smart support.

To make tuning the new SX models easier, leads KTM introduces the new myKTM app here, which thanks to wireless connectivity should become an important tool in the toolbox. All new KTM crossers feature revised racing graphics. The technical upgrades of the 2021 models mainly focus on the chassis and improvements to the engine architecture. This is said to have increased reliability and further improved the feedback for the driver. According to KTM, this is based on the latest Dunlop tire technology (Dunlop Geomax MX-33) and a generally harder basic setting thanks to the new spring struts and forks of the WP Suspension XACT PRO series.

KTM

As the flagship of the 4-stroke models, the KTM 450 SX-F benefits from modifications to the pistons, crankshaft, engine housing, rocker arm and shift lock. In the two-stroke models, the KTM 125 SX from model year 2021 was equipped with a new piston and clutch components – a treatment that was also given to the KTM 150 SX.

Upgrades for the mini-crossers

For the new model year, the new KTM 85 SX, KTM 65 SX, KTM 50 SX and KTM 50 SX Mini have been equipped with a new, more precisely adjustable throttle grip as standard. Thanks to a larger brake disc and a completely new front and rear Formula brake system, the KTM 85 SX should now decelerate better than ever before. All three motocross bikes have new, butted handlebars that allow the installation of ODI lock-on handles. On the KTM 50 SX and KTM 50 SX Mini, the new, butted handlebars also allow the installation of narrower grips.
