Since 2016, the KTM RC 390 has had a very special status: it is now the most powerful sports car in the KTM range. Funny and ubiquitous situation due to the disappearance of the catalog of the 1190 RC8-R.

Without changing the situation, the RC 390 strengthens itself in a segment where contenders are not legion but deserve attention. Who are they ? Yamaha R3, Kawasaki Ninja 400, Benelli Tornado 302 and this KTM. Besides its not lazy mono, one of the strengths of the machine is the weight. With 147 kilos, this RC promises to be taken like a bird between the squirrels. The chassis will follow. The differences with that of the Duke 390 intervene at the level of the geometry of the rigid trellis frame, reworked for a better dynamism. The angle of inclination of the steering column and the shortening of the caster and the wheelbase contribute to the responsiveness of the RC models, much more comfortable on the circuit. Compared to the roadster suspensions, the travel has been reduced and the settings are more incisive. The 43 mm WP inverted fork tubes have the same diameter as those of the ex Superbike 1190 RC8-R.
