New electric model presented

EICMA 2019

The Taiwanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kymco presented the RevoNex, a purely electrically powered naked bike, at EICMA.

AT.At the EICMA 2018 the Taiwanese presented the electric super sports car study called SuperNEX. At EICMA 2019, the RevoNEX study followed, so to speak, the naked bike derived from it.

Kymco owes technical data, but a few driving dynamics cornerstones were mentioned. The sprint from zero to 100 km / h should be possible in 3.9 seconds, the sprint to the top speed of 205 km / h in 11.8 seconds. Like the SuperNEX, the RevoNEX also has a six-speed gearbox. The second gear goes up to 115 km / h. Launch control, traction control and ABS are also on board. The artificially generated engine sound known from the SuperNEX is again part of the overall package. The design of the Kymco ReboNEX is pleasing.

Pleasant design

17 inch cast rims front and rear, final drive via chain. The engine and battery sit between the profiles of an aluminum bridge frame. The driver sits behind a tall tubular handlebar and a large digital display in a hollow behind the towering "tank", the pillion one floor higher on a slim rump, as it ends with two LED tail light strips. License plate holder and indicators sit on a swing arm.

The tank cover is wide and extends far forward. The front bundles a double LED headlight in a small mask. The USD fork and the central spring strut come from Ohlins, the front double disc brake system from Brembo.

The RevoNEX should be available as a series motorcycle from 2021.
