Directly from the 750 Sport and sharing the uncompromising side of Formula, the Strike presents itself as a fiery and incisive roadster. The recipe applied is simple: remove the fairing and raise the half-handlebars. Thus, the motorcycle retains its elements which make it very efficient.. We find the vertical twin in a sports perimeter aluminum frame, associated with Païoli suspension elements. The inverted fork accommodates the formidable efficiency Brembo brakes. It’s beautiful, efficient, and expensive. The Strike is pure Italian, with impeccable handling and a characterful engine. When driving, the bike offers a decent riding position but make no mistake: it is a genuine sports car. Once placed on the corner, the machine follows a rail, even when the tarmac becomes rough. The twin is sharp, shows its disapproval of going down in the turns by vibrations which seem to dislocate the bike, and pushes severely in the second half of the tachometer. Not a little girl’s engine. Originality and sportiness are essential on this hot roadster but the price marginalizes it a little too much. But Laverda doesn’t build motorcycles for one-day enthusiasts.
