Honda CRF 300L / Rally

All-terrain dwarfs with more displacement

Honda has now presented the new enduro models CRF 300L and CRF 300 Rally in Thailand. They are likely to replace the well-known 250s in various markets.

At the beginning of November, Honda in Japan published initial information on the small enduro bikes CRF 250L and CRF 250 Rally, which were being revised for 2021.

More displacement for the single cylinder

Now Honda is surprising in Thailand with the brand new models CRF 300L and CRF 300 Rally. However, if you look closely you can see that the look does not differ from the refreshed 250s. The plus is in the engine. The liquid-cooled single-cylinder competes in the 300s with a 76-mm bore and a 63-mm stroke. This then results in a displacement of 286 cm³. The Thais do not yet provide performance data. It would be conceivable, however, that the 300 series variants with their displacement increase hardly offer more power than the 25 hp and 23 Nm of the 250 series, but score points on the exhaust side with significantly fewer emissions. As a result, the 300 series would be the logical change of guard for all markets where strictter emission standards will apply by 2021 – i.e. also the EU.

Honda

Rally special model for Thailand.

The steel frame remains, with a USD 43 fork leading the 21-inch front wheel with an 80/100 tire. An 18-inch model with a 120/80 tire rotates at the rear. It is shifted by a six-speed gearbox with a torque-assisted anti-hopping clutch.

The CRF 300 Rally is also offered in Thailand as a Dirt Addict Edition, limited to 100 units, with a fourteen-part accessory kit and special decor.
