Horex VR6 RAW launch

Night black and puristic

Small series manufacturer Horex is presenting the new sporty Horex VR6 RAW as a world premiere at INTERMOT. With its night-black appearance, it is now expanding the range with a third model. It also lowers the Horex entry price level.

The motorcycle manufacturer based in Landsberg am Lech Horex has announced a new bike as a world premiere for INTERMOT. The Horex VR6 RAW relies on a night black look, a sporty, tuned chassis and a lower weight.

New naked bike from 35,500 euros

Technically, the RAW is of course based on the well-known VR6 models and brings 163 hp and 128 Nm of torque to the start from the compact six-cylinder. A continuous bench seat with microfiber cover, a newly designed exhaust system with two rear silencers on the right side, and specially developed forged aluminum wheels ensure independence. The fully adjustable Ohlins suspension has been made sportier. Compared to the Classic model, the new exhaust system as well as the elimination of various decorative parts and the lighter rims save 4 kilograms in weight. Horex specifies a dry weight of 220 kilograms for the VR6 RAW.

The novelties at RAW also include the brand new 7-inch LED display with a real glass pane, which optionally offers numerous connectivity features (including GPS navigation and full mobile phone connectivity).

The new Horex VR6 RAW is available in the versions high-gloss or matt, but always only in black. The new mufflers, mirrors, handlebars, frames and most of all visible parts are in "Black Gloss" or "Black Matt". Horex mentions 35,500 euros as the base price for the VR6 RAW.

Updates for Classic and Cafe Racer

In addition to the new RAW model, Horex also offers many innovations for the existing models Horex VR6 Classic and Horex VR6 Cafe Racer. All machines for the 2019 model year will be delivered with a new chassis setup, which now offers even more comfort. For drivers who are even more sporty, two sports packages have been added to the offer. The gearshift and clutch have been redesigned and should now offer easier and smoother gear changes.

The Classic and Cafe Racer models have been updated.

The modified mirrors should provide a better view to the rear. The 7-inch LED display with a real glass pane is also new. The proven 10-inch display remains in the range as an optional extra. New in the offer is a high-gloss black color variant for the Kineo spoke rims. Touring riders will in future be able to swap the pillion seat for a carbon luggage rack with a load capacity of 25 kilograms.

The customization program was also increased. For the VR6 Classic model, there is a sporty pillion seat cover, a liquid expansion tank made of aluminum, heated handlebar grips and a titanium kit for all visible screws. In addition, the color palette has been expanded to include every imaginable desired color.

The Horex VR6 Classic starts in the new model year from 38,500 euros, the VR6 Cafe Racer is available from 42,500 euros. The respective Heritage Line versions start from 42,500 or 46,500 euros.
