Zero is the market leader for electric motorcycles. If you want to extensively test the Sporttourer SR / S and the Naked Bike SR / F – including hotel and catering – take part in the reader test ride.

ZTest the latest Zero electric motorcycles to their hearts’ content for two days – the Reader Test Ride on Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th, 2020 *, gives seven MOTORRAD readers the opportunity. Driving is under the guidance of a tour guide on wonderful routes in the southern Thuringian Forest. The current top models from Zero, the market leader among electric motorcycle manufacturers, will be available to the winners for two days.

The models Zero SR / F and the brand new SR / S will be swapped in the group, so that each participant will have extensive opportunity to test both motorcycles. Food and accommodation in a four-star hotel prepared for motorcyclists’ needs "On the Rennsteig" in Masserberg (Hildburghausen district) are included. If you want to be there: Simply apply and fill out the form by April 5th at the latest. And with a little luck you will be one of the seven winners selected by Zero.

Zero Motorcycles

Seven readers can extensively test the brand new fully disguised Zero SR / S and the naked bike in the Thuringian Forest.

As a pure electric motorcycle manufacturer, the Zero brand, founded in California in 2006, is the world’s oldest and most stable. Zero motorcycles have been offered in Europe since 2010. Among all suppliers of large motorcycles (including those with internal combustion engines), Zero ranked 20th for the first time in 2019 in terms of registration figures in Germany and is the market leader for electric motorcycles in this country. In the -MOTORRAD Top-Test (in issue 12/2019) the 110 hp Zero SR / F impressed with its enormous sprint and pulling power (maximum torque: 190 Nm). Equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a maximum capacity of 14.4 kWh, Zero specifies a range of just under 200 kilometers for the SR / F (with combined city / highway traffic at a maximum of 89 km / h). Price: from 20,790 euros. The range of the completely new, fully clad SR / S is not yet exactly known. However, due to the improved aerodynamics, it should be a good deal larger. Zero names a range increase of 13 percent compared to the SR / F. The touring-oriented SR / S also offers improved ergonomics through lower footrests, different handlebar positions and a larger seat area. As the more expensive premium version, the SR / S is equipped with a 6 kW Rapid Charger and should be able to charge from zero to 95 percent capacity within an hour. Prices SR / S: 21,540 euros; Price SR / S Premium: 23,740 euros (plus additional costs).
