Thanked by the French team Tech3 at the end of his first season in Moto2, Le Mans rider Louis Rossi was desperate to be able to continue racing in the Grands Prix in 2014 (read in particular).

Fortunately, his situation has changed favorably with the signing of a contract within the Spanish structure Stop And Go (SAG) led by Eduardo Perales. He will ride a Kalex chassis Moto2, with which his team hopes Louis will achieve "good results" in 2014.

Moto2 and Moto3 test report in Jerez

Thomas Luthi was the fastest of the Moto2 riders during the first offseason tests organized in Jerez: the Swiss rider stuck 2 tenths to his first pursuer, Esteve Rabat, and 4 tenths to the third, Jordi Torres.

Timed in 1’42.046, Tom Luthi exploded in passing the Andalusian track record held for two years by Stefan Bradl in 1’42.706! The "newcomers" from Moto3 were not unworthy either: Schrotter and Marinelarena finished respectively 15th and 16th with the Mistral 610 Tech3, while Vinales and Salom (now teammates at Pons) appear in 18th and 20th place.

In Moto3, it was Jack Miller who led the debates with his official Ajo team KTM. The Australian beats his teammate Danny Kent and debutant Karel Hanika, winner of the 2013 Red Bull Rookies Cup.

Finally, the French CIP Moto3 team is making big changes for 2014: the team will now run Alessandro Tonucci and Bryan Schouten on Mahindra (engine and cycle parts designed by Suter).

"I feel super happy! Joining a team like SAG, it was a real dream for me", rejoices n ° 96.

"In view of the results achieved by Xavier Simeon this season (the Belgian rider was driving this year at SAG with Marcel Schrotter as a teammate, Editor’s note), it is really auspicious. From now on, I am fully starting to prepare for the season 2014 ".

Louis Rossi made his first laps with his new motorcycle during the official tests organized in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), along with the entire Moto2 and Moto3 field. He set the 10th fastest time, just ahead of his compatriot Johann Zarco who was discovering his new Caterham team (see box above).
