KTM 790 Adventure R Rally

Special model with rally claim

KTM is launching a special edition of the 790 Adventure limited to 500 units. The Rally comes with even more suspension travel and even more seat height.

The third and newest member of the KTM 790 Adventure family was designed as the world’s most long-distance rally bike. In addition, there was a significant increase in the chassis area.

The special model is based on the KTM 790 Adventure R and also adopts its 95 hp two-cylinder and its frame. The special WP XPLOR PRO spring elements have been added. This was developed in the same department as the factory components from WP and should deliver similar performance values for extreme driving. The spring travel increased at the front and rear by 30 to 270 millimeters. The seat height rose to a gigantic 910 millimeters. The caster and steering head angle have also changed minimally (109.9 mm and 63.8 degrees).

Highest quality spring elements

The WP XPLOR PRO 7548 fork works with cone valve technology, a valve system that combines practically endless damping performance with comfort and protection against bottoming out. Settings that can normally only be made by exchanging the spacer washers are also possible from the outside. The unrestricted opening of the Cone Valve reduces the hardness of the suspension.

The fully adjustable WP XPLOR PRO 6746 shock absorber relies on significantly increased damping performance. This shock absorber uses a progressive damping system (PDS) and the damping behavior can be completely adjusted.

Discreetly adjusted

The equipment of the special model is supplemented by an Akrapovic rear silencer, a tank protection made of carbon fiber and the Quickshifter +. The rally is visually differentiated from its siblings by the unique colors and graphics and the transparent windshield with winglets. For tough off-road use, it also rolls on narrower rims with tubes (2.15×21 at the front and 4.00×18 at the rear) and has a high, straight racing seat for even better racing ergonomics, as well as rally footrests for comfort and grip Driving up for days.

KTM will only announce further details on price, availability and the ordering process in the coming months. We estimate the price at 17,000 to 18,000 euros.
