The Brno Gp signals the start of the new school year! And the class led by Di Meglio did not skimp on the revisions: geometry of motorcycles, calculation of strategies, drawing of the best trajectories, everything is good to appear at the top of the honor roll. !

And it is Gabor Talmacsi who will demonstrate the benefits of vacation homework: seizing the provisional pole on Friday in the dry, the Hungarian reigning world champion remembers to everyone’s memory in front of an audience that is everything to him. acquired: the proximity between Hungary and the Czech Republic helping, the n ° 1 is considered as "the child of the country" (Read "Zoom on … Talmacsi") !

Zoom on …

Talmacsi, who wants to shine in front of his fans: "it’s the closest Grand Prix to my country and I know a lot of my fans will come and support me! There will be around 30,000, see 40,000 people from Hungary, which will be great for me , signals the current third in the world championship.

Benefiting from a few minutes of dry track the next day, the Aspar team rider had no difficulty in signing his second pole position of the season: some like Nicolas Terol did not see fit to go out during the session, as the rain introduced himself !

The Jack & Jones team rider kept his second place on the grid, ahead of Andrea Iannone, Bradley Smith, Mike di Meglio, Sandro Cortese, Pol Espargaro and Simone Corsi.

The race !

Departure : Nicolas Terol managed the best takeoff of his position, but it was Englishman Bradley Smith who took the lead in the first right turn! Gabor Talmacsi contains the pack which consists of Pol Espargaro, Mike di Meglio, Andrea Iannone, Simone Corsi, Stefan Bradl and Scott Redding.

The current reigning world champion gets the best of Terol’s machine and Talmacsi seems to be in a position to get back on the race leader right away.

Confident, the n ° 1 seeks the opening on Smith, without bothering to lock the doors at the entrances of curves: Nicolas Terol takes the opportunity to tax the Hungarian at the entrance of the last chicane of the Czech route !

2nd round : B. Smith crosses the line in front of Nicolas Terol and Gabor Talmacsi: this one passes the Italian again thanks to a strong braking at the end of the straight line of the pits. Stefan Bradl passed Espargaro and di Meglio who precede Corsi, Redding, Cortese, Iannone, Olive, Gadea, Marquez, Rabat, Gadea and Zanetti. Jules Cluzel is 21st, while his teammate, Alexis Masbou was seen in a collective fall. The pilot of the federation, Louis Rossi is 27th.

3rd round : The winner of the English race is still leading the way, but behind the scenes heat up: taking advantage of the incredible top speed of his Aprilia Grizly, Bradl taxes Terol on the suction, is at the height of Talmacsi under braking … And turn in second position at the first turn! What mastery on the part of the young German pilot! On its momentum, the No.17 offers an unstoppable interior on Smith thanks to a fast left !

Behind the four leading men, Mike di Meglio is grappling with Espargaro, but the two pilots are already a little behind the men who precede them: realizing the risk, "Magic Mike" sounds the charge, passes Pol Espargaro and glues immediately in the lead !

In front of Toulouse, Nicolas Terol follows Talmacsi who takes advantage of a slight gap by Smith – following an attempt to overtake Bradl – to steal second place from him !

4th round : Stefan Bradl crosses the pit straight in the lead, ahead of Gabor Talmacsi, Nicolas Terol, Bradley Smith, Mike di Meglio, Simone Corsi, Pol Espargaro, Scott Redding and Sandro Cortese.

The current championship leader takes fourth place, taxing Smith with braking from the first left, while Gabor Talmacsi leads the race with an inside on Bradl a few corners ahead !

Not disconcerted however, the German returns the favor in the second part of the circuit, while Mike di Meglio finds the opening on Nicolas Terol !

5th round : The leading trio consists of Bradl, Talmacsi and di Meglio, preceding with a breath the tenacious Terol. The fastest driver on the track, the Toulouse driver and his Derbi climb up to Talmacsi when braking on the first left and pass the Hungarian with ease !

On his way, Mike di Meglio makes the interior to Bradl on the following left: here is the French once again leading the race! Sensing the threat, Gabor Talmacsi raises his voice and in turn overtakes Bradl to try to stop Mike di Meglio’s breakaway: his entry into the curve is a bit optimistic, but the German who follows him does not have time to counter-attack !

6th round : While the young driver of the Ajo Motorpsort team absorbs the pit straight in the lead, Gabor Talmacsi tries to put the brakes on him from the inside, but it is Stefan Bradl who will finally pass the Hungarian on the outside, even trying to force the trajectory to dispossess Mike of his leadership! Immediately, the German takes the aspi of the French and on the short straight line which leads to the left downhill, the Aprilia Grizly clearly takes the ascendant in speed on the Derbi du Toulousain! Powerless, the n ° 63 can only see the speed of his rival.

The ace ! Ignoring the moods of the French, Talmacsi tries an interior on the Derbi and slightly forces it to move aside to allow the official Aprilia to pass: it did not take more for Corsi (who has just passed his teammate Terol) in turn interferes under the wheels of the unfortunate French pilot! It now precedes Terol, Joan Olive (who goes back quickly thanks to cannon times) and Bradley Smith.

Resuming his pace, Mike di Meglio passed Corsi again at the entrance to the penultimate chicane and set off in pursuit of Talmacsi and Bradl. The maneuver gives ideas to Nicolas Terol who passes his teammate from the inside, at the entrance of the last chicane of the circuit !

6th round : Confident in his machine, Terol immediately sticks to Mike di Meglio’s exhaust and looks for the opening. He finds it at the entrance of a long straight downhill, in which the Toulouse man visibly suffers from a lack of confidence in the front of his machine: taking advantage of the timid entry into the curve of the Derbi, Terol and his Aprilia 2007 can easily slip inside! Simone Corsi adds a ladle by passing her rival for the title, from the following sequence! Spectacular fall of Marc Marquez, then fighting against Gadea: the n ° 93 will not be able to restart.

7th and 8th laps : Stefan Bradl crosses the line in front, ahead of Gabor Talmacsi, Nicolas Terol, Simone Corsi and Mike di Meglio. Corsi does not take advantage of his good recovery for long: Mike and Joan Olive pass it at the same time thanks to the suction on the line! Nicolas Terol continues to surprise and creates an irreproachable interior on Talmacsi at the entrance of the chicane at the finish !

The latter retorts immediately by going up to his opponent when braking at the end of the straight line: the two men are shoulder to shoulder throughout the first curve, Talmacsi having to fight against a pronounced angle to stay on the rope, while Terol has to go faster than Hungarian because of his exterior trajectory! It’s hot, but it’s ultimately the defending champion who will have the last word !

Not for long however, since at the next chicane, Terol and Talmacsi resume their mano a mano and it is the black bike at n ° 18 which will emerge victorious this time! The two pilots precede Di Meglio who has regained a higher pace than the others: the Frenchman passes Talmacsi in this famous right-hand turn in a slope where he lost several positions previously..

Unfortunately for the Frenchie, his recovered confidence did not impress his rival who returned to the interior on the edge of a chicane: the Derbi driver once again raised his machine, which immediately benefited the obstinate Joan Olive which literally grows di Meglio on the outside! Olive takes the opportunity to surprise Talmacsi in turn and climbs on the virtual podium.

9th and 10th laps : Stefan Bradl continues to lead this hotly contested 125 race, ahead of Terol, Talmacsi and Olive. Mike di Meglio lost an additional position in the limit maneuver of Derbi n ° 6 and Sandro Cortese is now plugging him up a bit. The Frenchman will take advantage of the pit straight to overtake Cortese, while Talmacsi brakes Terol.

In the same sequence where he had already embarrassed the Toulouse, Joan Olive reiterates a manly interior on Terol and passes it! All these overtaking is the business of young Stefan Bradl who takes the opportunity to widen a gap at the head of the race: the German drives the point home by setting the best lap time !

11th and 12th round : The Grizly team rider always takes Talmacsi, Olive, Terol and Mike di Meglio. Cortese is a few lengths ahead, ahead of Smith and Redding. Certainly a bit annoyed by the somewhat limited maneuvers of his opponents, Mike di Meglio elbows at the start of a chicane to dispossess Terol of his position and show that he does not balk at the fight, despite his status as leader of the general !

Faster than his competitors, the Derbi driver is looking for the loophole in Joan Olive in order to catch up with the leading men: if Talmacsi does not seem able to get back on Bradl, Mike has the pace to get there, but must pass the two men who previous !

13th, 14th and 15th laps : It will be done a few revolutions later, but the gap between Bradl and him nevertheless seems substantial with three laps to go! Several cables away now, Gabor Talmacsi is trying to contain the assaults of Joan Olive, as well as those of Nicolas Terol !

16th and 17th rounds : Stefan Bradl is 1.105 seconds ahead of the Derbi at n ° 63, but his pilot whips and narrows his gap meter by meter! The fight between the two men has created a wedge against their opponents, as Talmacsi is almost two seconds behind Mike di Meglio! Big gap also behind Olive and Terol, since Englishman Bradley Smith is more than four seconds behind the leader.

Last round : Despite his speed, Mike di Meglio only regains a few tenths from Stefan Bradl who reacted: the German holds his first GP victory at the tip of his gloves and after his podium at home at the Sachsenring, he seems determined not to let it go! Joan Olive, for her part, tries by all means to get past Talmacsi, but the latter, as a tactician, closes all the doors in the face of the young Derbi pilot! Not lowering his arms, the n ° 6 puts the cover back with a muscular interior and the two pilots come out from a left shoulder to shoulder !

Gabor Talmacsi will finally be forced to give in, at the entrance of the following right, his Aprilia badly placed to approach the curve. The Hungarian tries a final attack in the final chicanes, but Olive brakes later and crosses the finish in third position behind Mike di Meglio and the talented Stefan Bradl, on his way to follow in his father’s footsteps. !

In the championship, Mike di Meglio made an excellent accounting operation since Olive was inserted between him and Talmacsi, but especially Simone Corsi finished the race only in tenth place! The French now have 44 points ahead of the Italian, 60 over Bradl who gains a place, 66 over Talmacsi and 76 over Joan Olive.

They are explained:

Stefan Bradl (1st) : "it’s incredible. It’s amazing to have two Grand Prix winners in the family. I do not know what to say ! It was a difficult race, during practice we had a lot of problems but the warm-up went better and I got off to a good start. I gave it my all, took the lead and controlled the gap. The last five laps were the most difficult, I had to stay very focused because in this position, we think a lot".

Mike di Meglio (2nd) : "this is a very important result for me. I had a lot of problems with the suspensions during practice, but the team did a good job today. I almost ran into Corsi and Talmacsi at first, but it’s racing, it’s fun when it brawls like that. Bradl was very fast today, I tried to catch him but he was too fast so I didn’t take any more risk".

Joan Olive (3rd) : "it was a fun race, but also very difficult because I got off to a bad start. I was behind then I started to overtake a few riders, with a good pace. We struggled a lot to catch up with Bradl. Now we have to prepare for Misano".
