Sheridan Morais (Yamaha n ° 32), 1st:

"It was a really great weekend for the whole Kallio Racing team and it’s great to reward them with this victory after their excellent work to prepare our new motorcycles (of the R6 2017 finally, Editor’s note!) In so little time. time. It was good to be able to set the pace in the race by keeping some aside for the end of the race … which never happened. This is my first victory, I am very happy and grateful ".

Kenan Sofuoglu (Kawasaki n ° 1), 2nd:

“Everything went as I thought, in many ways, and I think we played well, waiting for the last laps. From the start I had decided to take the lead on the last lap and win the race. that way. The plan was working fine, but I hadn’t planned for the red flag. I think we deserved to win this fierce race, but the red flag kept us from doing that. We get a new podium however, a second place , after a weekend that was not so easy. We have proved that we can handle difficult weekends and events during the race. I am happy happy with this podium and the 20 points scored, which is still very well".

Lucas Mahias (Yamaha n ° 144), 3rd:

"I am not very satisfied with the result because today I felt I had the pace to win the race. I followed my strategy which was to save my tires so that I could attack very hard in the last part. At the start, I lost the front twice and didn’t feel confident, but I found a good rhythm and did a lot of laps in short 1 ’41s. of the race, I passed Cluzel then third, and I was preparing to overtake the first two riders, but my teammate Caricasulo fell and I could not do anything to avoid his bike. It was bad luck , but in my misfortune I still managed to get back into the pits and get third place (which he held at the end of the lap before the red flag, Editor’s note). Obviously, I would have preferred to finish ahead of Kenan Sofuoglu! In Portimao, I will give everything to win the race, since I have now only one point ahead of Kenan. It is as if we let’s start the championship. My mission is to try to win each of the last four races! "

Jules Cluzel (Honda n ° 16), 4th:

“I was happy to stay with the front group because the pace was very fast. I struggled in the slow corners, and I didn’t have the chance to overtake at the end of the straights. So I held on. just behind the group, I was waiting for an opening to pass Morais on the last lap why not, because he seemed to be having a bit of trouble, but winning the race this weekend was simply impossible. I am happy to finish the race but disappointed because I want to win. The circumstances of the last round were crazy. I almost hit Mahias. I’m glad Caricasulo looks okay, but it’s always the same guys trying things a little bit crazy in the last laps. Too bad about the red flag, I was on the podium when it was lifted. But it’s racing after all "

Federico Caricasulo (Yamaha n ° 64), fall:

“I was so happy to fight in front during the race. I felt I had the pace to win, but I was unlucky: I fell while competing against Kenan for the lead of the race. ! I’m lucky to get away with this as it could have been a lot worse. The positive aspect is the pace that we showed this weekend. We will try to use it to be even stronger in Portimao ".
