"It was a good weekend, I enjoyed myself. It’s a shame because we had the possibility of winning. There were two places where we were wasting time, but I was so strong the whole race. and I finally tried my luck in the last sector, my strongest. I tried in turn 11 because the last corner is always risky, it depends on the braking of the guy in front and I knew Caricasulo would try everything in the last corner. So I started, but he turned earlier than usual and I had nowhere to go. He was lucky that I kept as clean as possible, because we could both have fallen, or I could have sent him waltzing. Lucky for me, he lost the front slightly in turn 11 and I had another chance in turn 12 which is almost completely crossed. fourth. But when I got on the vibrator I lost the front end and had to cut again, which put me on the wrong side for the last bend. I had no more hope. I want to stress that we are continuing our season without fail. What we lack is what Caricasulo stole from us in the first round (Federico had taken out Jules at Phillip Island, Editor’s note). “My start wasn’t too bad but I got stuck inside, and everyone was pretty aggressive at the start. I then downgraded and lost contact with the front group. I attacked hard to get back to the front and climbed back to third a few laps to go. I felt strong on the bike but it was difficult to catch the two guys in front. It was the first time that I was riding this bike so a third place is a good result for me. I didn’t want to push too hard and fall. I’m glad the team gave me the opportunity to ride and I’m happy to reward them with this podium ".
