Update at 8 a.m.: rain disrupts the 24 Hours !

Driving on the Sarthois circuit always requires getting wet, literally and figuratively! However, the intensity of the precipitation calls into question the rest of the race at 6:33 a.m. !

At 5:42 am, the friendly crew of the No. 15 Yamaha from SH Technology was forced to give up following a fall: was it due to indigestion from the two-time Supersport world champion, Sebastien Charpentier (read) ? Too bad for this team who had boldly prepared for this first participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans Moto.

The day barely dawned on a gloomy and wet Bugatti and – at 6:16 am – Honda n ° 111 was forced to return to the pits following a "straight ahead" from Steve Plater at Chemin au Bœufs. The No. 11 Kawasaki of the GSR Racing team will slowly come back behind the No. 69 GSX-R of the RT Racing Team, more motivated than ever to return to the final podium after a smart race, despite the light gardening this morning.

Twist: At 7.15 am, the No. 7 Yamaha from YART returned to the pits with a brake caliper problem that cost just under three minutes of downtime. Nothing alarming for the team that has been in the lead for many hours and retains the leadership with another six laps ahead of the No.1 Suzuki !

New stop for the Honda n ° 63 of the Michelin PRT at 7:28 a.m. which now fails in 25th place: decidedly in small technical form, the Bibendum played yo-yo all night, alternating incredible climbs with – very – many sessions mechanics in the box.

KTM n ° 96 fell at the Raccordement bend: the Katoche was then in 27th position. Another turnaround at the head of the race: at 7:41 am, the Kawasaki n ° 11 came out at Chemin aux Bœufs and lost the benefit of 5th place! Disappointed, Frederic Moreira quickly restarts the ZX10 R and returns to the pits as quickly as possible.

Motivated to repair his blunder, the Frenchman joined Gilles Stafler’s box less than three minutes after his fall! The stop will also be very brief and the Kawasaki sets off again at 7:48 am with a Frederic Moreira at the helm, fiercely determined to recover.!

In the fourth Top of 8:00, the Kawasaki n ° 11 is fifth at five laps of the four leading motorcycles frozen in their respective positions. First since the 68th lap, the No.7 Yam ‘is six laps ahead of the No.1 Suz’, the No.111 Honda is solid third five laps behind SERT.

The # 69 Suzuki of RT Racing Team Motovirus is only two laps away from Bernard Rigoni’s men who are sparing their efforts to try to come back to play the spoiler at the head of the race !
