For its part, the Yamaha R1 n ° 7 of the Monster Yamaha YART team will try to make people forget its abandonment at the Bol d’Or thanks to the reinforcement of Katsuyuki Nakasuga, Japanese Superbike champion in 2008 and 2009, alongside Igor Jerman and Gwen Giabbani.
Bolliger Team Switzerland will also call on a local driver with Isami Higashimura alongside Horst Saiger and Roman Stamm on the No.8 Kawasaki ZX-10R, while GMT 94 Ipone, third in the provisional world ranking, will field its usual trio with David Checa, Kenny Foray and Matthieu Lagrive on the handlebars of the Yamaha R1 n ° 94.
Finally, the British team Honda TT Legends will field its CBR1000RR n ° 77 in the hands of John McGuinness, Keith Amor and Cameron Donald who replaces Steve Plater, forfeit due to injury.
These six permanent teams of the 2011 World Endurance Championship will defend their places against the Japanese teams who only aim for victory at Suzuka, such as the Honda of the Musashi RT Harc Pro, winner in 2010, in the hands of Takumi Takahashi, Makoto Tamada and Tadayuki Okada, the Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team with Yukio Kagayama, the Australian Josh Waters and Nobuatsu Aoki, the FCC TSR Honda who recruited three regulars on the Suzuka 8 Hours podium (Kosuke Akiyoshi, Shinichi Ito and Ryuichi Kiyonari) or the Honda Dream RT Sakurai with the two Australians Jamie Stauffer and Wayne Maxwell.
