Sodemo in brief

Founded in 1981, the Motor Development Company (Sodemo) is located inside the Technopole on the Magny-Cours circuit (58). It employs around fifty people for a turnover of 5 million euros (including 2 million from exports) and a net profit of 50,000 euros in 2008. IRC world champion with the Peugeot 207 S2000 in 2007, Sodemo was bought at the end of 2007 for one million euros by Guillaume Maillard, in association with the Korean Shinsung Delta Technology. Goal : "continue its globalization in the supply of competition engines ". Administered by Messrs. Ja Koo and Pyong Chin, it has been headed for two years by this young dynamic 35-year-old CEO who previously worked for the automotive supplier Faurecia.

"I will appeal the court decision because I consider that the liquidators did not do their job", explains in particular the boss of the motor manufacturer based in Magny-Cours:"I’ve been putting my energy into this project for 8 months and I’m angry because it shows how difficult it is to mount something in France".

"We are the only ones to have kept our promises in this case", estimates Guillaume Maillard:"we have provided all the guarantees regarding the redemption, unlike the FIL (the mysterious Luxembourg real estate Fortune, the other candidate for the takeover of Voxan, Editor’s note), namely 250,000 euros for the business and stock".

The CEO of Sodemo then details his various projects for Voxan, including the production of "2, 3 and 4 thermal, hybrid and electric wheels"in association with Tracetel, specialist in electronic traceability systems such as Velib terminals.
