Business - MV Agusta sees twice as big in France! - Second hand MV AGUSTA

MV Agusta can be delighted with its commercial performance in France: its sales should double in 2011. France would thus become the second market for the manufacturer from Varese, well helped by the arrival of the Brutale 920 and F3… then the B3 roadster ?

"In 2011, the French market will become for MV Agusta the second largest in the world, rivaling its national market thanks to a sales volume of 600 units, i.e. double the volumes recorded in 2010", happily and officially launches Umberto Uccelli, commercial director of the Italian group.

The little Brutale B3 at € 8,990 !

MV Agusta dealers were able to discover it recently in Varese: the MV Agusta B3, stripped version of the F3, is indeed in the pipes! "The general public will have to wait a bit: it will be unveiled at the next Milan Motor Show. It will please, for sure, especially since its price will be set at € 8,990 !", delivers us exclusively Claudio Rizzotto. However, if the bike and its price positioning appear devilishly attractive, the machine is not ready to arrive in concession: the launch of the Supersport F3 has not yet taken place, its technical data and its final price are not yet known and its marketing is only scheduled for the end of autumn 2011. Already in 2010, MV Agusta had increased its registrations in France by + 37.3% (read our), reaching in 12 months the total of 302 sales which correspond well to half of 600.

"Our estimate for 2011 was originally 500 machines", explains to Site Claudio Rizzotto, head of the French market,"but given the start of the season, we are counting on 600 invoiced motorcycles"… and almost as many registered !

"Over the past six months, MV Agusta has successfully completed its French network development program with 26 certified dealers and 7 agents spread across France", continue the Italians.

Thus, the brand’s historic partners (the Paris, Tours, Toulouse, Chalon-sur-Saône, Avignon, Montpellier and Nîmes dealerships) were recently joined by new distributors based in Metz, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Nice, Saint- Tropez, Marseille and Bordeaux.

Last city and not the least, Lyon has just inaugurated an exclusive concession "in the city center, the opposite of our competitors who tend to settle in the outskirts", Claudio Rizzotto tells us.

"For the north and west of France, we have applications in Nantes, Rouen or Rennes which would allow us to ensure optimal coverage of the territory", continues the head of the French network who does not want to see the number of concessions explode.

"Whatever happens, we won’t have more than 30 dealers", slices Claudio Rizzotto in order not to waste unnecessarily disperse his energy – yet overflowing! – first of all, to spare the ego of each MV Agusta dealer then, and finally not to miss this year 2011 which he describes as"hinge".

"We asked our dealers to work", he continues,"in particular to launch the new Brutale 920 which is anything but a discount MV: the chassis and the engine are pure Agusta products !"

To offer its big roadster under the 12,000 € mark, MV Agusta has therefore saved on certain peripherals, on colors – matt black or matt white only -, but also and above all on the margin of dealers: "it was halved on this model", reveals the head of the brand. A necessary" evil "to increase volume and attract a larger clientele !

"Similarly, we warned them that we would no longer support demo vehicles: the saving thus made of 1.55 million euros should allow us to complete certain projects, such as that of the F3.".

This new Supersport, long awaited and full of promises (read) was also unveiled to the courageous and motivated dealers: "they were delighted, they welcomed the B3 with even greater enthusiasm !", reports Claudio Rizzotto.

"Offered at € 8,990", the little Brutale could well make sparks in 2012 in the land of mid-capacity roadsters. Until then, will the Brutale 920 and the F3 have enabled MV Agusta to reach its 2011 objective? Attenzione: stay connected !
