Retro … in the retro !
With the implementation of Euro4 standards since January 1, 2016, manufacturers are faced with difficult choices concerning their Euro3 motorcycles whose sales are restricted or declining: keeping them in the catalog means adapting them quickly to the new standards, but this operation is not necessarily profitable if the commercial results do not follow.
Remember that the marketing of Euro3 motorcycles and scooters is authorized until the end of the year, then up to 10% of their volumes sold in 2017 to dispose of any stocks..
Then, all new motorcycles must meet Euro4 standards, which are much more restrictive in terms of controlling polluting emissions (read our).
This is the reason why Suzuki preferred to go and Yamaha does the same with its XJR1300 (r) and .
Despite the granted to the XJR1300 and the very "retro" arguments of the SR400, these two motorcycles discreetly leave the catalog after having respectively passed. Too little, obviously, to hope to continue their career.
But some models are still available in: 150 copies of XJR1300 (at € 10,999 as standard, € 11,699 in 60th anniversary decoration and € 11,999 for the) and 75 copies of SR400 at € 5,999 (€ 6,199 in yellow and black 60th anniversary).
