Things are moving at the head of BMW Motorrad France
After 20 years of good and loyal service, Jean-Michel Cavret is leaving BMW Motorrad France to take up the challenge of electro-mobility. Marcel Driessen should succeed him, less than a year after his arrival at the head of Piaggio France.
"After Los Angeles and New York, London and Oxford, Berlin and Munich, Dr Reithofer, Chairman of the BMW Group Executive Board, has chosen to extend the field of electric car experimentation to Paris in order to better understand expectations demanding French customers ", warns the BMW group.
However, to carry out this program, Philippe Dehennin (Chairman of the Executive Board of BMW Group France) has just appointed a motorcyclist to the post of Director of Electro-mobility Strategy of BMW Group France: Jean-Michel Cavret !
A graduate of IFAG, Jean-Michel Cavret joined BMW France in 1973 as head of the advertising and promotion department (cars, motorcycles, PRA). In 1985, he joined Publicis as Customer Director of Budget Renault and joined the ranks of the French automaker two years later as head of the advertising department for France..
It was in 1989 that BMW France called on him again to take over the management of the motorcycle activity, which he would keep for 20 years … A longevity which is not unlike that of a certain JCO (read )! "This great challenge of electro-mobility turned towards the future for the three brands of the BMW Group in France (BMW, BMW Motorrad and Mini, Editor’s note) immediately seduced me", explains Jean-Michel Cavret.
To succeed him, the Germans would in all likelihood call on Marcel Driessen: indeed, the one who had occupied the post of CEO of Piaggio France for less than a year is officially on the move (read) … A mobility that is not unlike that of a certain Jean-Luc Mars (read) !
At the Italians of the blow, it is an Italian who will take over: "he currently officiates at Derbi in Marketing and sails between Milan and Barcelona for Moto Guzzi also", summarizes us Piaggio France which will not fail to us – you – keep more informed soon.
The years go by and the big bosses are not alike. Other times, other customs: if it was not necessarily "better before", we must admit that it was much easier to follow all the same! Business to follow, therefore…
