Coyote System, pioneer and European leader in real-time fixed and mobile speed camera warning devices (read) and TomTom, one of the world’s largest providers of navigation and digital mapping solutions, have just announced a partnership agreement.
Under the terms of this agreement, future buyers of the TomTom LIVE GPS ranges will benefit from Coyote information allowing them to warn and be warned – on a paid subscription – of the presence of fixed and mobile speed cameras in real time.
Launched in 2005, this device uses GPS, GPRS and GSM technologies to communicate with a central server responsible for transmitting variations in speed limits, traffic information and the location of fixed and mobile speed cameras to the user. It also makes it possible to signal in real time to other members of the Coyote community the presence of fixed and mobile speed cameras encountered on his journey..
As a result of the arrival of TomTom customers, the Coyote Community (more than 250,000 members in Europe) will increase further, first in France and then in Europe. And this is the perfect illustration of our philosophy: all for one, one for all! "
"The agreement with Coyote System is undoubtedly synonymous with added value for TomTom, because our customers will be able to benefit from crucial additional information and themselves contribute to the relevance and quality of this information", also rejoices the director. General of TomTom, Frederic Langin.
For the moment confined to the TomTom GOx40, GOx50 LIVE and TomTom XL LIVE – either GPS for cars … hence the obligation for the biker to use specific GPS kit! -, the joint offer will be put in place from mid-September.
