MotoGP: 12 prototypes, 12 CRTs … one champion !

For the moment, the premier Grand Prix category would have as many Prototype MotoGP (12) as there are Claiming Rule Team (CRT) type motorcycles. Among the latter, several changes have been made: NGM Forward Racing, the team of Colin Edwards and Claudio Corti, abandons BMW-Suter in favor of Kawasaki-FTR, while the Avintia Blusens team has not yet finalized the choice. from its engine manufacturer (Kawasaki in 2012).

As expected, Karel Abraham moved from Ducati MotoGP to CRT Aprilia (ART) within the structure set up by his father, AB Cardion Motoracing. For its part, the Paul Bird Motorsport team has found: the Briton Michael Laverty, brother of the official Aprilia in WSBK, who will team up with the Colombian Yonny Hernandez.

As in 2012, only one French rider will defend our colors in MotoGP: Randy de Puniet, who will make his second season in CRT on the Aprilia of the Aspar team..

Finally, the Came Ioda team plans to hire a second pilot, but this project remains to be confirmed. Note that a breath of fresh air will blow over this "2013 vintage" since six rookie riders will discover MotoGP next season: Andrea Iannone (Ducati Pramac), Bradley Smith (Yamaha Tech3),, Claudio Corti (NGM Forward), Marc Marquez (Honda HRC) and Michael Laverty (PBM).
