New Moto Guzzi 2016: double V9 Roamer and Bobber
A year after having updated its small V7s (read MNC of September 26, 2014: the V7 passes the six!), Moto Guzzi presents at the Eicma 2015 show a range of similar motorcycles which includes two new 850 cc models: the classic V9 Roamer and the dark V9 Bobber.
A year after updating its small V7s (read), Moto Guzzi presents at Eicma 2015 a range of similar motorcycles which includes two new 850 cc models: the classic V9 Roamer and the dark V9 Bobber.
Moto Guzzi today unveils on its stand at Eicma 2015 two new motorcycles called V9 that could appeal to aficionados of the Mandello brand and attract new customers: in both cases, seduce bikers who found the small V7 too sluggish to their taste.
In 2016, the Italians relaunched the production of an 850 cc V-Twin (90 ° transverse, what else?) – but "entirely new", Moto Guzzi swears – "designed to reach the highest levels of ‘elasticity and torque ".
Compared to the 744 cc used by the V7 II, the "eight fifty" yet develops only 2 Nm of additional torque. But the 62 Nm will be available "from 3000 rpm", believes the manufacturer, which should guarantee the new motorcycles "character, ease of use and immediate response to low revs".
Calibrated on their little sisters, the V9 would weigh just 200 kg, "a real record in the category", estimates the Italian eagle. Remember, however, that Ducati offers vehicles weighing only 186 kg all full….
The new V9 range will be available in 2016 in two versions: a traditional "called Roamer, which takes over from the legendary Nevada, a member of the range for more than two decades and popular thanks to its great ease of operation, whether with young or old bikers, men or women ".
At his side, an essential "Bobber represents the darker and sportier soul of Moto Guzzi by containing the essentials, a completely black look and large tires mounted on 16-inch rims", detail the Italians.
Moto Guzzi, which intends to blow its 95 candles with dignity next year by grabbing market share from the BMW NineT and the Triumph Classics, ensures that it has paid particular attention to the finish and the choice of materials composing these two new motorcycles..
"From welding points on the new frame to the painting of the metal tank, Moto Guzzi has spared no effort to set new standards in terms of quality, using more and more noble materials such as aluminum", emphasizes the brand of the Piaggio group.
Like the V7s, the V9s receive as standard "ABS, adjustable traction control (and can be deactivated), the coded immobilizer system, a USB port as well as new and complete instrumentation integrated into a single speedometer. round".
The prices and arrival dates in the French Moto Guzzi dealerships of these two V9s are not known at the moment, but Site is investigating the aisles of the Eicma 2015 show: stay tuned !
