Alongside the new V9 Roamer and Bobber stand on the Moto Guzzi stand at EICMA 2015 a Scrambler-type V7 Stornello and a very (?) Advanced concept from Bagger, called MGX-21 "Flying Fortress" … Presentations.
On the Moto Guzzi stand, visitors to the Milan show will be able to discover from tomorrow, alongside the two V9s, a fourth variation of the V7 II. A year after the serious one actually landed a new "Stornello".
Presented by Moto Guzzi as a "real" factory preparation, this other 2016 Italian novelty respects all the Scrambler codes: studded tires, spoked rims, high and long pot – from Arrows! -, racing plates, mudguards and "off-road" aluminum footrests, etc..
From a mechanical point of view, however, the Stornello is in no way different from the original hat-trick. To convince customers, it therefore relies above all on its appearance and on its name borrowed from a 125 marketed by the Italian brand between 1960 and 1974..
Moto Guzzi also takes advantage of "its" Milan show to exhibit the final version of its concept (!) MGX-21, a bagger equipped with the California 1400 engine, "the largest twin cylinder produced in Europe", proudly recall the manufacturer.
This motorcycle, if it were to land on our roads, should send heavy … It is for this reason that the Italians chose "Flying Fortress" as a nickname for their machine – of the future? -, in reference to Boeing bombers, the famous B-17 !
Armed with its pair of rigid suitcases, the Italian flying fortress "retains its spectacular 21-inch front wheel protected by its carbon casing", details the manufacturer, "and is characterized by its high degree of technological content, several of which are patented".
Finally, Moto Guzzi reports that its V7 II Racer benefits from new graphics for 2016, while the entire V7 range (second or first generation) sees its catalog of accessories grow even more..
