Yamaha 2015: new colors, small leak and claims

New - Yamaha 2015: new colors, little leak and advertisement - New Yamaha 2015

The Yamaha stand at the Eicma show in Milan will fill up with models revived by new colors and brand new models: the R1 of course, but also another motorcycle seen on the web and the R3 which Colin Edwards and his wife are crazy about….

New Yamaha 2015

The Milan show will only open its doors to professionals on November 4 – and on November 6 to the general public – but Yamaha is already presenting itself as one of the most prolific manufacturers of the Eicma 2014, having been relatively low-key at the Intermot lounge (read).

Far from counting for butter first of all, new 2015 colors will be able to be admired by visitors. We note first of all that the best selling Blues in France currently, the MT-07, swaps its red "Racing" 2014 against a spicy yellow "Extreme", which will be available in from January 2015.

Also available at the start of the year, a new version of the now famous "Race Blu" is also planned for the little Yamaha "roadstar". This color, inspired by Rossi and Lorenzo’s M1, will be lighter in 2015 since it will now be based on gray and no longer on black..

According to Yamaha Motor France interviewed by MNC, this new "Race Blu" is available on many machines (see gallery on the next page): MT-09 (available since September 2014) and MT-09 Street Rally (November 2014), FZ8 and XJ6 (both October 2014), Diversion (October 2014), Fazer 8 and Diversion F (November 2014), XT660Z and XT1200Z / ZE / WC (also November 2014).

Site also notes that the "Dark Gray Metallic" of the FJRs is eclipsed by a brighter "Tech Graphite": FJR1300A / AS are available since September in this new colourway and the FJR1300AE are arriving at this very moment. Finally, in November, the XT1200ZE will receive a very trendy "Matt Gray".

MT-09 new version…

But the stars of the podiums at Yamaha’s stand in Italy will of course be the new models, spearheaded by the brand new – but then – YZF-R1! And other motorcycles will accompany the Iwata Superbike…

Referred to as FJ-09 in the United States where its first "not-far-from-official" photo was published on the web, the semi-faired version of the FZ-09 (known as the MT-09 of this side of the Atlantic!) is eagerly awaited by unconditional fans of TDM !

In addition to its sharp radiator trims and distinctive fork crown, this future Yam ‘receives a screen of respectable size, a double-stage saddle certainly more comfortable than that of the MT, as well as pre-integrated luggage racks, large passenger handles , hand guards and a central stand that we hope all come as standard.

Motorcyclists won over by designer Luca Bar’s "MTDM" project should be won over by this new production from the firm with three tuning forks. MNC will naturally try to find out the release date and the price of this new version of the MT-09 at the next show … Provided that it is indeed presented there. !

The small YZF-R3 for its part, has reserved its place for Milan alongside the R1. last week, the new sports car Yamaha will make its first public appearance in Italy. In the private sector, however, two pilots have already been able to try it…

Mr. and Mrs. Edwards test the R3

Colin Edwards and his wife Alyssa were able to go out together on the circuit. The opportunity for the – who has not hung up his leather to the chagrin of his wife and is not completely out of the business! – to shoot a promotional clip of the new "Bleue" for Yamaha USA.

If the second part of the video is only a rather flat list of the characteristics and the inevitably "extraordinary" performances of the motorcycle, the whole first part – and the fall! – history is worth watching … by those who speak the language of William Shakespeare James Lee Burke, of course !
