However, a week before the Milan Motorcycle Show (EICMA), the Orange brand has decided to officially confirm the arrival of this 690 Duke revised and corrected via a teasing video.

At first glance, inspired by the recent one, the lines of this 2012 novelty take on a facelift, while the dynamic behavior still seems to be “push-to-crime” oriented. !

The Austrians have not yet released any technical data about their 2012 690 Duke, but everything suggests that its single-cylinder explosive should approach – or maybe even exceed ?! – the 70 ch. Colossal power for a production mono !

But when we know that the current model announces 65 hp and that its "R" version claims 70 nags thanks to a few additional cubic centimeters (690 cc against 654 on the Duke "Standard"), it seems difficult to imagine that the 2012 vintage do less well !

Likewise, knowing the habits of the brand, it’s a safe bet that the excellent chassis of this toy weighing only 148.5 kg without gasoline (tubular chassis, WP suspensions, four-piston radial calipers, anti- dribbling, etc.) will undoubtedly be a little more optimized.

Unless KTM was content to make "minor" changes to its 2012 model, in order to seek to contain its price instead: at 7,999 € the standard model and 8,690 € the "R" version, the current one. 690 Duke is indeed very expensive to pay for its (excellent) services … To be continued: stay connected !
