Simple but attractive
As a reminder, this Benelli (owned by the Chinese giant Qianjiang since 2005) is powered by a 250cc single cylinder, developing 24.5 hp and 21 Nm. It exhibits an elegant tubular steel frame, an inverted 41 mm fork, a front disc 280 mm clamped by a 4-piston caliper and 17-inch rims fitted with Metzeler tires in 110 and 150 mm wide.
The weight of this motorcycle, openly intended for D’jeuns (see video below) would be 143 kg dry and its color chart includes three colors (white, red and black).
Its price is not communicated but should be below the 4000 € mark, in order to avoid competing with motorcycles from 300 to 400cc like the Yamaha MT-03 and the KTM 390.
Not sure that his arguments are sufficient to ensure success, both the 250cc engine – which requires to hold a motorcycle license but is limited in performance – hardly convince in France, as in the rest of Europe…
Most manufacturers have also deserted this niche or left it fallow with aging models, now trying to attract young people with more "rewarding" displacement from 400 to 500cc, like the Honda CB500s..
