BMW, Triumph, KTM, Peugeot … the other Europeans are here !

BMW Concept 6. Six cylinders, Telever and Paralever, 6 piston radial calipers, digital dashboard with GPS: the future big BMW roadster ?

On the side of other European manufacturers, the message is similar although the novelties are rarer: BMW presents its new R 1200 GS and R 1200 RT already unveiled here (read), its now famous S 1000 RR (read) and a surprising six-cylinder concept, which we will come back to in more detail in the next few hours !

On the Triumph stand, in addition to the disproportionate Rocket III Roadster, the British manufacturer unveils the Bonneville Sixty: inspired by the color of the 1960 model, the Bonneville Sixty is a limited series of 650 copies with the only color Blue Caspian Blue and hand-painted borders.

Icon of the English brand, the Speed Triple SE special series will be delivered with a fork crown and a seat backrest which reflect the color of the motorcycle: a Vivid Tornado Red with a central band Crystal white and a black border.

This special series introduces new suspensions which will subsequently be used on all Speed Trips: the fork and shock absorber springs are thus 5% more flexible for "improve road handling and comfort"of the Speed Triple, reports the manufacturer.

Finally, Triumph is celebrating the arrival of a new 1700 cc version of the recent Thunderbird, which increases its displacement with new pistons, liners, camshafts and clutch springs. The power goes from 85 to 97 hp and the torque from 146 to 159 Nm: what seriously reinforces the character of the parallel twin !

KTM presents an interesting concept of 125 single-cylinder declined in race or "stunt" version, and especially an R version of the already efficient 690 Duke (read our). Strongly and historically involved in off-roading, the orange brand is also discovering a new 350 SX-F with a completely new displacement, frame and engine. !

Besides the presence of Miss Italy 2009 (!), The Peugeot stand created a surprise by lifting the veil on the Hybrid3 Evolution: an imposing MP3 three-wheeled scooter powered by a hybrid engine. The first manufacturer to challenge the success of the Piaggio MP 3 head-on, Peugeot seems to have decided to play the card of safe and more environmentally friendly urban journeys. !

Kawasaki and Suzuki fill the Japanese gap…

On the Japanese side, Kawasaki takes advantage of the absence of its main compatriots to display – on a neatly decorated stand – all of its 2010 novelties, including the new and impressive Z 1000 (read our), to be tested next week on the Motorcycle newspaper from the net !

Like the Greens, Suzuki (present in Milan via its Italian importer) does not unveil new motorcycles but widely exhibits its 2010 novelties discovered during the Bol d’Or at Magny-Cours (read), as well as new colors on the Gladius and an anniversary paint on the GSR 600.

And of course: stay tuned to know all the details of the 2010 novelties of this Milan Motor Show 2009 !
