Road trip series: Motorcycle tour from Paris to Mongolia on a Honda Transalp
Le Journal moto du Net offers you a new series of motorcycle road trips: Enzo, a 22-year-old biker, is about to take us on his journey "On the road to the worlds" which will take him from Paris to the Mongolian steppes on his Transalp de 2009… Presentation.
My name is Enzo, I am 22 years old and I have just returned from a year and a half of backpacking. My next trip, this time on a motorbike, will initially be towards the Mongolian steppes. This road trip that I nicknamed "On the road of the worlds" will begin in March 2018, at the beginning of spring, when everything is reborn and everything becomes practicable again….
So I still have to wait about four months, but I still have a ton of things to prepare: ATA logbook for the bike, its preparation and protection, but also to finish fitting myself properly to be comfortable and safe during the trip..
My bike will be a 2009 Honda Transalp which I called "King Ju" in reference to Stupeflip, because I am a huge fan of this band, their lyrics and what they represent. I chose a Transalp because it has forged its reputation! It is an indestructible, enduring and tough motorcycle, which we can trust not to break down in the middle of the Uzbek desert. !
It is not yet equipped because the transformation will take place in early 2018 with the partner garage. I acquired it in September 2017, returning from my previous trip of a year and a half with my backpack through Africa and Asia: 14 countries, countless meetings, experiences, a lot of food. delicious tastings and weird things eaten, in short, a dream year and a half. But the biker I was before my departure quickly caught up with me !
In January 2017, I arrived in Vietnam and I made up my mind: I bought a Chinese moped – which claims to be a Honda Win – and I left for three months to visit the. I live the best moments of my trip, without ANY hesitation! Freedom through the rice fields, amazement at every turn. This is when an idea germinates … Why not go far with a motorcycle? Very far ! Long time ! Just an idea…

Some time later, by the greatest of luck, a subscriber to sends me a link concerning a competition: Globedreamer, organized by a crowdfunding platform in partnership with Allianz Assistance.
I present my project to them: from Paris to Mongolia on a motorcycle. Three months later, after different tests, I won the competition (and largely, thank you subscribers) !

When the results of the competition are announced, I arrive in Mongolia. I set off, once again, on Chinese motorcycles (Mustang 150 cc) with two other motorcyclists and we rush, alone in the steppes, for ten days. Total freedom. Dangerous freedom. Unbelievable. The word "vast" never had such an echo in me !
At this precise moment, the click is made. I realize that I am only truly in my element during these long hours on the motorcycle and that my dream will come true soon. I’ll meet you soon to present the bike in detail and on video. See you !
