The Yamaha official wanted to continue his positive streak started by his victory in the Netherlands, then his 2nd place in Germany: missed.

Disappointment also for Johann Zarco, 3rd on the grid after a good demonstration in qualifying on a wet track on his KTM. On dry asphalt, the Cannes region unfortunately suffered again: the n ° 5 lost eleven places in the first laps (!) And finished 14th behind the beginner Miguel Oliveira on the RC16 Tech3…

Danilo Petrucci, transparent 8th in Brno, consolidates his third place in the championship with 81 points behind the leader. Alex Rins, who follows him, has 96 lengths behind him: as much to say that the two drivers are not a threat for the title on a regular basis. 

Next in the standings are the Yamaha boy’s, Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi, who are respectively 119 and 120 points behind Marquez. Jack Miller takes advantage of his good 3rd place to climb to 7th place ahead of Cal Crutchlow.

Fabio Quartararo, 9th to 134 pts from the leader, gives Crutchlow an additional place in the standings of independent drivers – led by Miller from Germany -, but remains the first beginner in the provisional far ahead of Joan Mir (13th), Miguel Oliveira (18th ) and Franco Bagnaia (19th). 

Johann Zarco appears for his part in 17th position in the provisional standings, just behind Jorge Lorenzo who was again replaced by Stefan Bradl this weekend. The Mallorcan, injured in the vertebrae, will also be forfeited next Sunday in Austria and plans to resume the handlebars in Great Britain on August 25.
