Road rallies - Manoel Delaval implacable at the 52nd Rallye de la Sarthe - On waivers for the second lap ...

By monopolizing the two stages day and night, the Buell Manoel Delaval driver of the Central Team won the 2009 edition of the Sarthe rally. A well-deserved victory after a hot fight with Thomas Garcin throughout the event: report !

On waivers for the second round…

In the second lap, the first time lap at Maison Blanche: we discover a newcomer at the top of the ranking with a best time obtained by Bruno Schiltz on BMW HP2. Second fastest time for the Buell XB 12 STT of Manoel Delaval which slowly remakes its delay of ten seconds on the leaders at Bugatti and third fastest time for Thomas Garcin.

Amne Special, Act 2: the weather is starting to change and a light drizzle sets in … Finally a real Sarthois weather! This time, it was Mano Delaval who scored the best time in 1’55.711, a few tenths ahead of a horde of Monos: the KTM 690 of Corsican Anthony Mariani in 1’56.140, the Yamaha 450 WRF of Mickael Pefaure in 1’56.221 and the 650 Husaberg of Pierre Mouneu from Team Site in 1’57.101 !

Hard blow for Maxime Olivieri, who loses his time card during the last section of the day! With the 3 full minutes afflicted for this fault, the Corsican pilot is losing all his chances for the day stage but also for the general of this second round of the 2009 championship….

As for Manoel Delaval, leading the daytime stage, he has a big option on the final victory and as usual, with a smile !

Well, everyone has made up their minds: the night will be short but wet … Which will set the record straight and give everyone a chance! In the daytime stage classification, Manoel Delaval took the lead in the Elite classification ahead of Thomas Garcin’s Moto Morini 1200 Corsaro and Nick Ayrton’s Yamaha R1.

The first Mono, the young and friendly Nicolas Derrien riding a KTM 690 SMR, shyly leads the way with a 20th Elite position ahead of the two Team Site riders: Pierre Mouneu on his 650 Husaberg and Thierry Canazzi on his KTM 690 SMC.

On the side-car side, Guillet and Chanal lead the category on the handlebars of their Choda 1000 GSXR ahead of Lebert and Jeandemange on Yamaha 1100 FJ and Laur and Ferrieu at the controls of their Choda 1300 GSXR.
