Manoel Delaval implacable at the 52nd Rallye de la Sarthe

It is always so warmly that the city of La Suze-sur-Sarthe (72) received the caravan of the French rally championship, with this year a runners park installed at the municipal campsite instead of the station square..
Reconnaissance takes place … under the sun! It is therefore with a pleasant taste of vacation that the pilots find themselves on the roads of the Pays Manceau and particularly on the side of Amne-en-Champagne (72), the only special road this year..
No excess during the recce, which is carried out in a very responsible way on the part of the pilots: an essential "pre-race" moment, which allows newbies to get to know the discipline and regulars to exchange their impressions, such as Maxime Olivieri, then still leader of the Elite classification on the handlebars of his KTM 690 SMR), who confides in Site (see our video interview opposite).
On the menu for this 52 edition of the Rallye de la Sarthe: a 252 km day stage, made of a 126 km loop to be done twice, shortened to 103 km to be covered only once for the night stage.
During the first passage for the 126 km loop, we take the Bugatti circuit for four chrono laps in the morning to continue on two reconnaissance laps on the White House circuit. A 45-minute link then connects the Amne-en-Champagne special, then a link to return to La Suze.
30 minutes of assistance, and it starts again for the same loop without the Bugatti circuit, but with two chrono laps on that of Maison Blanche. Then link, special Amne and return, and finally same loop as the latter for the night with a single passage and shortened to 103 km.
