Marne Moto Sport unveils its 2009 program
Led by rider Fabrice Auger, Marne Moto Sport is renewing its track days in 2009, where supervision and prevention rub shoulders with pleasure and sensations! Responsible, the structure has partnered with the insurer FMA to adapt to the needs of each.
Created in 2004 by Reims driver Fabrice Auger (15th in the French Supersport Championship, 10th at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 7th at the 8 Hours of Oschersleben in 2008), the Marne Moto Sport association stems from a real desire to promote and support motorcycle sport, but also contribute to raising awareness of road safety through fun and educational actions.

Fabrice and his team organize free coaching and advice courses with the participation of … bikers from the National Gendarmerie! Relax: the "Blues" share their experience without ulterior motive and – almost – without moralizing discourse !
Recognized in the general interest, approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and benefiting from the blessing of the city of Reims, Marne Moto Sport also organizes seven circuit days (see box), as part of the "Speed on the track, on the road ".
If the notion of road and circuit safety may at first seem incompatible, these well-run courses are nevertheless an excellent way to better understand your limits and those of your machine, to be made aware of the consequences of poor maintenance – motorcycles that do not meet the safety criteria being kindly rejected !
They are also (and above all?) The opportunity to channel the desire to "send gas" within the infrastructure provided for this purpose, under the supervision of specific supervision: qualified instructors, marshals and nursing staff. (read).
In short, if the initiative will not discourage all fans of Sunday flurry on an open road, it nonetheless has the merit of offering a serious alternative, which may lead to a better understanding of certain risks, or even to revise its behavior..
Pilot at heart (Fabrice is aiming for the Top 5 in FSSP in 2009) and naturally gifted at transmitting his passion, the young man is convinced of his approach: "at each event, we welcome more and more motorcyclists (around 90) until we have to refuse some for safety reasons !, explains the rider who has just returned from testing in Spain with his endurance team AM Moto Racing Competition, with whom he is also aiming for the Top 5 in 2009.
"Given this enthusiasm, the feeling and impressions of the public, we are convinced that we play an important role in the fight for road safety.", continues the young chef.
On the program, a nice welcome around a "coffee-croissant" (the ideal time to define your level in all humility!), An administrative and technical check (noise limited to 95/97 dB max) and a mandatory briefing on safety rules.
The track is then opened by an instructor who calmly shows the trajectories – materialized by cones at each strategic stage of the turn – during a few laps..
New for 2009: power control using a mobile bench is available, just to check if your road or track motorcycle is developing the values announced by the manufacturer. !
In addition, Marne Moto Sport has an on-board camera and it is possible to be followed for five laps, then to analyze his driving with a trainer and to keep this video for posterity. !
Days that ensure !
On site, partners such as Shoei, AFAM, Elf, Tecno Carbon and Dap Design offer preferential rates and thanks to the recent partnership between the insurer FMA (France Moto Assurance) and the structure in Marne, insurance formulas adapted to the practice of the circuit are now in place.
Intended for pure trackers sharpening themselves with an unregistered motorcycle, as well as for everyday riders who wish to try out the track experience with their machine insured on public roads, but whose guarantees rarely work within a circuit , the proposed formulas tend to fill certain gaps.
Marne Moto Sport therefore approached FMA, which set up two contracts: for € 8 per day, the insurer offers a "Individual accident contract"and for 14 € per day one"Civil liability contract for circulation on a permanent circuit approved outside any competition"which however excludes material damage caused to other users of the circuit.
In short, a truly complete offer for these convivial days which are an opportunity to learn and have fun. In addition, two stopovers are planned on the brand new Aerosphalte site at La Ferte Gaucher, a circuit considered "exciting and very well designed on all levels", rejoices Fabrice Auger, before revealing the last little" 2009 bonus ": five laps behind a pro rider on a Yamaha R6,"in order to taste the joys and sensations of two-wheelers in complete safety"! Gloups !
