Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 benefits in 2017 from the same mechanical and electronic improvements as its organ donor, the RSV4. Aprilia’s maxi-roadster retains all the punch of its V4 engine (175 hp!) Intact and as a bonus inherits improved suspensions and brakes.

Like the, the Tuono V4 1100 adopts a new optimized exhaust and power supply. The developments include the installation of a 100% electronic accelerator and a more sophisticated ECU unit, which increases the engine extension by 500 revolutions. New pistons and redesigned combustion chambers are also appearing. The 1077cc V4 (that of the rebored RSV4) retains the same performance thanks to these improvements: 175 hp at 11,000 rpm and 121 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.

As before, multiple electronic aids controlled by an inertial unit (IMU) allow the Tuono V4 1100 to remain stuck to the asphalt in all circumstances. The wicked Italian roadster receives traction control adjustable on 8 levels without cutting the throttle, three driving modes (Sport, track and Race), a start assistant, a shifter, a speed limiter (practical not to exceed 60 km / h required in most pit lanes) and an anti-wheeling.

As on the, the three levels of intervention of this anti-squat are now accessible while driving, while Bosch takes care of the ABS braking with its excellent 9.1 MP system which takes into account the inclination. A new cruise control is also making its appearance, while the instrumentation now takes the form of a color TFT matrix screen.

In terms of chassis, the Tuono V4 1100 renewed in 2017 its transfer policy with the RSV4: this new vintage therefore inherits the new 330 mm (+10 mm) discs from the Superbike and the same Sachs suspensions in the standard version (Tuono V4 RR) and Ohlins on the top of the range (Tuono V4 Factory). The Tuono V4 1100 Factory also receives a more sporty original tire fitment and larger dimensions: Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa in 200/55/17 at the rear against Pirelli Diablo Rosso III in 190/55/17 on the V4 RR.
