The Honda X-ADV scooter available in small displacement for 2020 ?
The deserved success of the "scoo-trail" X-ADV logically gives Honda the desire to make small: a variation of 150 cc has just been launched in Indonesia, while a 300 cc X-ADV is announced in Thailand. Before being imported to Europe in 2020 ?
Nice shot from Honda with sound: this comfortable and efficient maxi-scooter is one of the few to without ape the Yamaha reference, but on the contrary going off the beaten track with its new look inspired by the trail genre. Something to forget from which it derives directly !

Its adventurous allure – enhanced by a neat finish – is based primarily on its spoked rims fitted with paved tires, its hand guards and its raised silencer. The X-ADV is ultimately the equivalent of an "SUV" in an automobile: a vehicle literally at a crossroads and with an evocative image, supposed to tame the urban jungle..
Building on this success, Honda intends to occupy the field with lower displacement versions for the moment reserved for emerging emerging markets: a new X-ADV 150 has just been presented in Indonesia by the importer Astra-Honda..
This novelty visibly designed on the basis of the PCX receives a single-cylinder injected 4-stroke 15 hp to displace its 133 kg. Its 150 cc meet local habits and legislation and could easily be transformed into 125 cc to adapt to the European format (motorbike and scooter license A1 or equivalent with 7H training for holders of the B car license).
Unsurprisingly, its equipment is less stylish than on the original model: exit the inverted fork, the double disc at the front and of course the double DCT clutch here replaced by a classic variator. The grab handles and the good-sized windshield nevertheless promise interesting "GT" capabilities, as does the essential standard power unit..
X-ADV 300 on approach in Thailand !
And the winged brand does not intend to stop there: a 250 to 300 cc X-ADV is also announced for the Asian market! Its launch would even already be scheduled this fall at the very important show in Bangkok (Thailand), where it would be produced..
This version would derive this time from the Forza 300, suggesting a more "premium" positioning likely to appeal to European customers. To this day, however, Honda remains silent on its intentions to import or not its "baby X-ADV" in Europe: answers in November at the EICMA show in Milan (Italy) !
Good prospects for improving one of the rare weak points of the X-ADV: its elitist status driven by its high price of 11,999 euros, compared with the 12,999 euros requested by the always valiant VFR800 V-Tec !
