Le Touquet finds a last breath

After a double death announced, the 30th edition of the Enduro du Touquet will finally take place on February 6 !

After a double death announced (read), the 30th edition of the Enduro du Touquet will finally take place on February 6 ! Following the intervention of Jean-Pierre Mougin, President of the French Motorcycling Federation (FFM), and despite the decision of Amaury Sport Organization (ASO) to no longer support the organization, the FFM and the Motorcyclist League regional Flanders have "agreed to take charge of the sporting organization of the event, the City of Le Touquet assuming the rest of the organization of the event.

"In order to save the 2005 edition and not disappoint all of the 1,350 pilots already entered as well as the thousands of spectators expected, and with the effective contribution of ASO, the parties present sought a solution to guarantee the organization of the 30th edition of the Enduro du Touquet", the FFM announced this afternoon after a meeting between the FFM, ASO and the Town Hall of Le Touquet.

The organization remains however "conditioned by the agreement of the public authorities"and a meeting will be held on Wednesday January 26"to ensure that all the conditions are met to ensure the security of the organization". To be continued…
