Guintoli at Suzuka 8H 2019 with Kagayama and Watanabe
As every year since 2017, our 2014 Superbike world champion Sylvain Guintoli, Suzuki MotoGP test rider who is racing this weekend at the GP of Catalonia, will participate in the Suzuka 8 Hours 2019. For the final of the world championship of endurance, he will find Yukio Kagayama and Kazuki Watanabe on the GSX-R of the Yoshimura team.
"The Yoshimura Suzuki Motul Racing team will participate in the 42nd edition of the Suzuka 8H (final of the endurance world championship on July 28, 2019, Editor’s note) with our All Japan championship drivers, Yukio Kagayama and Kazuki Watanabe, and our driver development in MotoGP Sylvain Guintoli ", rejoices team manager Yohei Kato.

"It will be a very close race because the three Japanese factories are very strong", predicts the Japanese leader. "As representatives of Suzuki and the GSX-R, we are preparing for a fight against these very serious competitors! We are a private team and our historic successes at Suzuka have never been easy. We will work hard and we will make all necessary efforts for victory ".
For his part, Sylvain explains that "it is a great pleasure and an honor to come back to Japan for 8 hours of Suzuka 2019 with the Yoshimura Suzuki Motul team. Last year we had a promising start to the race, we had led a moment then we stayed in the top three before crashing. I hope that this year we will have a race without unforeseen events and that we will fight for the podium ".
