Valencia GP FP2 tests: Miller and Nakagami in a handkerchief, Zarco 5th
Jack Miller took the best time in free practice 2 of the Valencia GP with a short lead of 0.091 sec over Takaaki Nakagami, leader this morning on his Honda. Francesco Bagnaia closes the Top 3 ahead of Pol Espargaro and Johann Zarco. Report and classification.
This second practice session took place in good conditions with 21 ° on the ground and a perfectly dry track. Takaaki Nakagami quickly moved to the forefront on the Ricardo Tormo, driven by the positive dynamics of his best time in FP1.

Joahnn Zarco also stood out 25 minutes from the checkered flag, before Jack Miller finally got everyone to agree in 1’30.622. The Ducati-Pramac rider is ahead of Nakagami and Bagnaia, who goes from 19th to 3rd position during the day: sacred progress for the future Ducati official !
Andrea Dovizioso – who will not be racing in MotoGP next year – posted the 6th fastest time in the session, the fourth for Ducati behind Miller, Bagnaia and Zarco. Follow Alex Rins, Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Viñales, less efficient than this morning.
Mir to the mat, the Yamaha in difficulty
Joan Mir only appeared in 11th position after a minor fall in turn 4, ten minutes from the end of the session. Remember that the Suzuki official will have his first opportunity to win the title on Sunday since he has 37 points on his first pursuer while 50 remain to be distributed.
Alex Marquez also fell during this session, twice: in turn 2 then in curve 4. The Honda official – 19th – each time got up without damage, which was not the case for his RC213V after his second cabriole.
Note the rather worrying poor performances of Fabio Quartararo (16th) and Valentino Rossi (18th): the French and the Italian – out of the Top 10 overall – will have to work twice as hard tomorrow morning during FP3 to win their ticket access to QP2 qualifications !
