"Not as painful as it looks"
“I went to my doctor to assess the progress, but the news was not good,” says Hopkins. "It’s never fun to learn that you have to lose a part of your body, but it was the best scenario. Otherwise the situation could have dragged on, not necessarily with a better result in the end.".
"Apart from the pain related to the operation, I must say that I already feel better", continues the pilot who says to himself "sure to be ready for the first tests in Australia" (read).
“I know the bike well and have ridden Phillip Island before, so at least I won’t be starting from scratch. Our GSX-R1000 has very good basic setups and I’m sure we won’t have to beat at the start. The level of competition is high of course, but I think we will be competitive from the start! "
