PJ Jacobsen will play his fourth season in World Supersport with the official MV Agusta Reparto Corse team where he will replace Frenchman Jules Cluzel, who left for Honda PTR. Like Julo and many other drivers, the 23-year-old American aims for the world crown.

Arrived in World Supersport on a Kawasaki, PJ Jacobsen became the in this category dominated by Europeans … and a Turkish! From his second season (performed on Kawa … then on Honda!), Patrick obtained the "title" of vice-world champion, behind Kenan Sofuoglu.

Integrated into the official Honda team, the native of Montgomery (New York State, USA) confirmed his status as favorite for the WSSP title: he never finished a race outside the top 5 and was often the first winged brand representative.

Unfortunately for Jacobsen, his three white results (Aragon, Assen and Magny-Cours) and the lack of victory only led him to fourth place, 10 points ahead of Smith admittedly (Honda PTR rider victorious twice this year ) but 5 points behind Krummenacher, 7 behind Cluzel … and 81 behind Sofuoglu !

Next year, the tenacious "PJ" will try his luck again, this time riding the F3 prepared by the MV Agusta factory. An Italian machine as magnificent and fast as it is capricious, driven over the last three seasons by our dear national "Julo" ().

"I am really looking forward to starting this new adventure with MV Agusta", comments Jacobsen, considering that "joining this Italian manufacturer is a privilege" … coupled with a great challenge, since it is a question of offering to the mark of Varese its 38th world title (manufacturer). As a reminder, the 37th dates from 1973 !

"I have already done a test on the bike in Jerez and I felt really comfortable after a few sessions", assures the new MV recruit. "I can’t wait to see you next year with MV Agusta and see what we can accomplish together".
