Top 10 in the 125cc category

A strong jury of 45,178 MOTORRAD readers selected the top 10 in ten categories. Here we show you the results of the 125cc bikes category.

W.he KTM also held the reins in the years before – the 125 Duke took first place with 20.5 percent of the readers’ votes and a nice lead. The Honda Monkey 125 moved up to second place (11.9%). The Monkey displaces the Aprilia RS 125 / Replica, which was second in the previous year, to third place (11.2%).

Two Yamahas displace a Honda

There have been postponements, but no newcomers, in ranks four to nine: the Yamaha YZF-R 125 takes fourth place and is one square up on the previous year. Her naked bike sister, the Yamaha MT-125, climbed from seventh to fifth. The Honda CB 125 R is sixth, losing two places compared to the previous year. It is followed by two seventh places: Aprilia Tuono 125 and Fantic Caballero 125 Scrambler both received 4.6 percent of the readers’ votes, with Aprilia 2019 still in sixth place and Fantic in 8th place.

There is no change for the Honda Super Cub C 125, which also made ninth place in the 125 cc category last year. The fully disguised sister of the first place, the KTM RC 125, is the bottom of the Top 10. This pushes the Kawasaki Ninja 125, which was in tenth place last year, out of this ranking. There is also no Suzuki this year. In 2018, the GSX-R 125 was last in 9th place.

Readers’ votes and new registrations

In the last column, we also show you the rank of the models in the 2019 new registration statistics in Germany (if the information is available). "k. AT.." (no information) can mean that the model has not yet been on sale or has only recently been on sale, or has not made it into the top 20 of 125cc new registrations for other reasons.
