300 km / h – without a driver

No joke. The NeRVe motorcycle is up to 300 km / h and drives autonomously, i.e. without any driver. But definitely with a passenger.

M.In other words, this means that anyone can be catapulted over the Nordschleife at the limit, even if they are sitting on a motorcycle for the very first time in their lives. The Danish company NeRVe (Next Road Vehicle) built the robot racer, which is supposed to enable such a rather dubious pleasure. In the vehicle industry, it has long been considered a source of ideas and a supplier of autonomous driving systems.

NeRVe presented the “Autonomous Street Racer” to the public for the first time at a trade fair in Dubai. There is not much official information about it yet. The company itself has only said so far that the bike is intended for “pure and absolutely safe pleasure” for the rider.

From zero to 100 km / h in a sensational 1.5 seconds?

The electric drive is supposed to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in a sensational 1.5 seconds. And just that the bike drives completely autonomously: “Regardless of whether you want to show off at 200 or more km / h on the motorway without even having a clue about riding a motorcycle, whether you want to learn to drive a racing device safely with it, or just want to get off in front of the next cafe, and the motorcycle will then park neatly by itself – this vehicle does it! “

On Facebook, NeRVe employees responded to critical comments with the information that the degree of autonomy of driving can be freely adjusted, from light support for the pilot to completely autonomous. NeRVe responded to a MOTORRAD inquiry by stating that further press releases were only in preparation.
