Triumph revises its Classics in 2014
Triumph lifts the veil on its very first novelties. He’s not yet ? – question of a new model, not even of a big evolution: in 2014, the range of Triumph neo-retro motorcycles benefited from slight updates to be discovered on the Site.
Updates to Bonneville, Thruxton and Scrambler
An essential reference in the "Classics" section of the English manufacturer Triumph and a timeless icon in the motorcycle world, the Bonneville continues its remarkable career and benefits from subtle retouching for 2014.
In addition to its new colors Black "Phantom", Silver "Lunar" and White "Crystal" / Blue "Sapphire" (see our photo gallery on the following page), the Beautiful Bonnie receives a badge as distinctive as distinguished on its tank sides.
This "BB" from across the Channel – with well-made up electronic injection! – undergoes a slight facelift: "the cylinders and heads are provided with new milled cooling fins, which accentuate the British side of the engine block", details the Hinckley firm.
At the same time, the small English is equipped with new silencers "for a softer sound to the ear", assure its designers. The reception of the buttocks also promises to be softer thanks to the new better padded saddle and composed of two contrasting vinyls.
Finally, "a black passenger handle at the rear is now standard equipment", observes Triumph whose French dealerships will welcome from September 2013 these" new "Bonneville … T100 and T100 Black !
Indeed, Triumph declines again its Bonneville in T100, with this year "a nod to the heritage of the 60s", via the new color White" Crystal "/ Gold" Arum ","in the straight line of the Bonneville 1964", recalls Triumph.
In addition to new mufflers with the announced rougher sound and a new finish of the cooling fins, the 2014 T100 receives a chrome passenger handle and a chain guard as standard. It is also available in Black "Jet" / Red "Cranberry".
Triumph also offers a "all black that will not fail to amaze you with its dark look", assure the British:"even the rims, hubs, handlebars, rear suspensions, fender mounts, mirrors and passenger handle are black". One color: the" Jet Black ", what else ?
The Thruxton also inherits the new cooling fins and receives a chrome chain guard. " The seat cowl advantageously complements the matching fork crown thanks to the central bands that decorate them", adds Triumph which offers this model in Black" Phantom "or Green" Brooklands ".
Finally, the Scrambler "tastes "Back to Black" for the handlebars, rims and hubs as well as the rear master cylinder fuel cap", specifies Triumph. Fans of this model will also note the anodized engine guard and the Triumph logo embossed on the rear of the new seat, supposed to provide"a relaxed driving position".
This other "great classic", with its engine set at 270 ° (against 360 ° for the Bonneville and the Thruxton), is offered in two new colors: a Blue "Matt Pacific" and a Silver "Lunar" / Red "Diablo combination. ".
