Triumph Rocket III 2300 cc
Triumph has just unveiled in Texas, a month before the Paris Motor Show, the largest motorcycle ever produced in series: the Rocket III 2300 cc. A 142 hp cruiser available in France next spring.
Announced two years ago (read), the 2300 cc Triumph Rocket III cruiser has just been presented to the American dealers of the British brand gathered in San Antonio, Texas.
This 142 hp, 320 kg dry monster, anabolic cousin of a BMW R1200C or a Harley V-Rod, is driven by a 3-cylinder in the direction of the road equipped with pistons of … 101.6 mm in diameter! Taking its name from the 1960 BSA Rocket III powered by Triumph’s first 3-cylinder, the 2300 cc Rocket III takes over the front brake of the Daytona 955i, a dual lens similar to that of the Speed Triple and ergonomics based on that of Bonneville America.
It will be presented at the Paris Salon from September 26 to October 5 and should be marketed in France in spring 2004 at a price not yet communicated..
