Yamaha Yard Built Bike

XSR900 CP3 by JvB-MOTO

As part of the Yamaha Yard Built program, the Cologne designer Jens vom Brauck developed the CP3 based on the XSR900. The conversion is based on a reduced design and a powerful look.

Jens vom Brauck, designer from Cologne, has already given many motorcycles a new shape. For Yamaha, he redesigned an XSR900 in the Yard Built program. The machine, baptized CP3, was created as a bike with clear lines and proportions that underline the powerful three-cylinder. The clear goal was less retro or playful custom design. Rather, it is inspired by the concept cars of the 70s and 80s and the conversion is rather minimalistic and reduced to the powerful design.

The CP3 should look fast without looking aggressive, says Jens vom Brauck from JvB-Moto about his CP3. In addition, the CP3 should remain clearly recognizable as a Yamaha. The paintwork in typical Yamaha Racing Blue takes this into account, although it is darker and matt than the color.

Conversion parts come as a kit

The CP3 should not remain a one-off. From the beginning of 2020, the components will be available to buy as a bolt-on kit. The package includes the front fender, the LED headlight with mask, a tapered handlebar with riser, an instrument panel as well as the tank covers, the seat, the special rear with integrated taillight, the license plate holder and many other small parts. JvB-Moto has not yet named a price.

The CP3 is also equipped with an exhaust system from Termignoni as well as a milled footrest system and redesigned wheels. Mirrors should then be added for road operation.
