In Munich as elsewhere, fashion is authentic with motorcycles that embody a lifestyle. Moto Guzzi’s image in this area being particularly strong, it will undoubtedly be one of the trump cards of Piaggio’s new strategy..

However, if Guzzi knew how to skillfully keep the flame alive by infinitely declining his superb V11 and his indestructible California, it was time to propose an iconic model which is really new and able to compete with the competition. The success of the small Breva 750 is a first step in this direction, but something more was needed to make the Guzzistes dream … and attract other bikers.

Aware that they had no room for error, Moto Guzzi engineers therefore took the necessary time to modernize the industrial tool and develop real new products..

Breva 1100

This luxurious roadster, a subtle blend of classicism and modernity, marks the start of a new generation of Guzzi. Classic and sober line, neat finish, studied practical aspects and performance "sufficient": the target is clearly designated: BMW…

Of the old Guzzis, only the imposing engine block remains. Traditional, it retains the central camshaft and the old tumbled timing, but it receives new lighter pistons, dual ignition and a catalytic converter with lambda probe which already meets the Euro3 standard. The clutch is still dry disc, but the 6-speed gearbox is completely new (it was necessary!). The cardan transmission becomes "reactive"with a single-sided arm equipped with an anti-torque rod strongly inspired by … the BMW Paralever (read).

43mm front preload adjustable fork, rear monoshock progressive, 4-piston caliper disc brakes with optional ABS, the Breva 1100 is up to date. The dashboard is very complete with its multifunction digital display and the finish is neat, almost German: aluminum grab handle, integrated case supports … not to mention a long list of options: heated handles, cases, windshield breeze, tank bag, etc. At 233 kg dry, the Breva 1100 is not particularly light, but the 92 horsepower of the V twin should ensure sufficient performance for long trips, as is the 24-liter tank. No doubt, it is a clientele of riders that is targeted.

Griso 1000

Faced with the success of the Griso concept presented two years ago, Guzzi has made it a production motorcycle. The style of the proto is fully preserved, including the impressive conical pot. She exudes a unique, minimalist and imposing personality at the same time.

A huge engine topped by two steel tubes that connect the two wheels, a saddle reduced to a minimum and a handlebar: this bike goes straight to the point. Technically, it uses the new engine-transmission combination of the Breva with a displacement reduced to 1000 cm3. It develops 102 horses for 199 kg.
